PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide body structure of a bus mounted with a CNG(compressed natural gas) engine, allowing a CNG tank to be mounted on a roof without strain from the viewpoint of strength.
SOLUTION: A plurality of ceiling rafters 1 extended in a rightangled direction to the center axis of a bus to function as structural members for supporting the weight of a CNG cylinder are provided on the interior side of a roof board 21. A plurality of first reinforcing members 2 extended parallel with the center axis of the bus orthogonally to the ceiling rafters 1 across all the ceiling rafters 1 are arranged parallel on a roof with the roof board 21 held in between. A plurality of second reinforcing members 3 extended in a right-angled direction to the center axis of the bus orthogonally to the first reinforcing members 2 across all the first reinforcing members 2 are arranged parallel, and a cutout part 3a is formed at each intersection part of the second reinforcing member 3 to the first reinforcing member 2 to connect both reinforcing members 2, 3. A part of a connecting means for connecting a CNG cylinder bracket is further formed at the second reinforcing member 3 to constitute cylinder mounting mechanism 10.
