To provide a cabinet for housing an optical fiber connecting part, the cabinet having an inlet tray holding a coated optical fiber extended from an inlet optical cable and having an in-premise tray holding a coated optical fiber extended from an in-premise optical cable, in which a complicated state due to residual unnecessary coated optical fibers between the trays is avoided and a working space with margin for splicing coated optical fibers is obtained between the trays.
Optical fiber coupling adaptors 33, 43 are arranged on facing side edges 30A, 40A of the trays 3, 4 in the inlet side and the in-premise side, respectively, disposed parallel to each other at a specified distance. An inlet coated fiber A1 is connected to the adaptor of the inlet tray, while an in-premise coated fiber B1 is connected to the adaptor of the in-premise tray. One plug of an optical patch cord 2, having plugs 21, 22 on both ends, is inserted into the adaptor 33 of the inlet tray, while the other plug is inserted into the adaptor 43 of the in-premise tray to connect optical cables in the inlet side and in-premise side.
