A camera control circuit 123 corrects inclination of an image by clipping and rotating an image in a range according to an inclination angle detected from a photographed image when the inclination of a camera is detected based on the output from an inclination sensor 125. Then, input of the maximum angle from a user is previously accepted, and the inclination of the image is corrected when the inclination angle of the camera is not larger than the maximum correction angle.
