Title:
CHARGING CONTROL DEVICE FOR FLASH EMITTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3447327
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten the charging time without dependency upon the supply voltage by starting charging on a main capacitor using the first boosting means, and executing the charging using the second boosting means when charging has reached a certain voltage level.
CONSTITUTION: While the voltage VMC of a main capacitor 4 remains low, the voltage of a battery 1 for power supplying is boosted by a booster means 2 having a short charging time, and charging is started. When a voltage sensing means 5 senses that the VMC has reached a certain voltage level, a signal is given to a changeover means 7, and a selecting means 8 selects a booster means 3 having a high boost voltage to perform charging thereafter with this booster means, and the main capacitor 4 is charged to a voltage with which a light emitting tube can conduct light emission. This allows shortening of the charging time regardless of the supply voltage. It is also possible to adjust the charging time by means of adjusting the changeover timing.
