PURPOSE: To make chopsticks easy to use by protruding part of the tip side of a grip section in the storage state so that it can be withdrawn from a sheath, and forming coupling step sections at the base section of the grip section and the tip section of the sheath respectively.

CONSTITUTION: Each of chopsticks 1 is constituted of a grip section 2 made of wood and a sheath 3 made of synthetic resin and storing the grip section 2. The grip section 2 is a tapered bar-shaped body, and a step section 21 to be coupled with the tip section of the sheath 3 is formed at its base section. The sheath 3 is formed into a cylindrical shape with the diameter slightly larger than that of the grip section 2, and its length is made slightly shorter than the length of the grip section 2 so that part of the tip side of the grip section 2 is protruded from the tip of the sheath 3 when the grip section 2 is stored. A step section 31 to be coupled with the step section 21 of the grip section 2 is formed at the tip section of the sheath 3. When the chopsticks 1 are to be used, the grip section 2 is pulled out, and both step sections are coupled for use. Chopsticks 1 easy to use are obtained.
