Abstract:

To remarkably improve the plastic deformation resistance and chipping resistance of coated cemented carbide.

In a coated cemented carbide in which the surface of the substrate of cemented carbide is coated with hard coating, the substrate is composed of a substrate surface layer part and a substrate inside, and the substrate surface layer part is composed of hard phases composed of one or more kinds selected from the carbides, nitrides, carbon nitrides and carbon oxide nitrides with 1 to 10μm particle size of Zr and/or Hf and WC and bonding phases composed of ferrous metal. The substrate inside is composed of the structure of hard phases composed of one or more kinds selected from the carbides, carbon nitrides and carbon oxygen nitrides with 1 to 10μm particle size of Zr and/or Hf, the multiple carbides and/or multiple carbon nitrides of two or more kinds of elements selected from the groups 4a, 5a and 6a elements and WC and bonding phases composed of ferrous metal.
