Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a composite magnetic material to be used as a microwave absorbing material by constituting the composite magnetic material of an alternate array of a plurality of magnetic material films and electric insulating materials and forming each magnetic material film of several insulated magnetic blocks so as to restrict the ratio of total volume Vp occupied by the blocks to volume Vj occupied by the films. CONSTITUTION: The composite material consists of several amorphous magnetic material films 2 and several electrically insulated material films 4, and these films 2, 4 are alternately formed. The magnetic moment of all parallelepipeds based on squares obtained by mutually separating the films 2 by insulated junction parts 8 are directed in the same direction included in the plane XY of the film 2. Each block 6 is formed especially of Co87 Nb11.5 Zr1.5 and has 1000μm length and 200nm thickness. Each junction part 8 separating respective blocks 6 has 10μm width 1. Since the ratio l/L is approximate to 10<-3> , the ratio Vp/Vj is close to '20'. When the ratio Vp/Vj of 10 to 50 is used, a composite material having a magnetic material of which magnetic characteristic is slightly different from that of its corresponding thin magnetic material can be obtained.
