Forward outgoing light A outgoing from the outgoing end 101 of an SLD 100 is turned into a parallel luminous flux by a collimator lens 231, and only specific polarization component is transmitted through a polarization filter 233, then condensed by an objective lens 232, and irradiated to a specific part of a body 220 to be measured. Light reflected by the body 220 is passed through the objective lens 232, polarization filter 233, and collimator lens 231, and enters the outgoing end 101 of the SLD 100 as return light B. When the return light B enters the SLD 100, the intensity of the forward outgoing light A outgoing from the outgoing end 101 of the SLD 100 is changed by the optical amplification function of the SLD 100.
