Abstract:

To provide a method suitable for a conical roller bearing for supporting an automobile transmission pilot part and provide a very long life conical roller having a wide crowning roller.

Crowning machining by grinding is applied on the peripheral surface of a roller 3 of a conical roller bearing, and after that, finishing processing is carried out by barrel polishing and tumbler polishing such that grinding scale division is prevented from remaining.
