Abstract:

To provide a process for preparing a large amount of a regulated material in the development of commercial supply source of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) for both of therapeutic and nutritional applications.

This new composition having activities as a feed additive for an animal, and a human food for promoting nutrition contains the conjugated linoleic acid. The composition obtained by converting the linoleic acid to the conjugated linoleic acid contains a less amount of a specific abnormal isomer compared to that in a conventional conjugated linoleic acid product.
