Abstract:
PURPOSE:To start a synchronous machine smoothly under avoiding a magnetic saturation of a main transformer at initial starting of the synchronous machine by setting an exciting voltage of the synchronous machine at a given percentage or below at no-load rating at the time of regenerative braking and starting of the synchronous machine. CONSTITUTION:An internal residual magnetic flux of a main transformer 2 after braking is minimized by setting an exciting voltage small at the time of regenerative braking of a synchronous machine 10; the synchronous machine 10 is then started smoothly under avoiding a magnetic saturation of the main transformer 2 at initial starting by setting a synchronous machine exciting rate small at the next starting. In this case, an exciting voltage of the syncxhorous machine 10 at the time of regenerative braking and starting is adjusted to 60% or below at no-load rating.
