Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage distortion suppressing method that effectively suppresses voltage distortion with respect to a harmonic component generated at a motor drive system.
SOLUTION: The motor drive system is connected to a power system via a power converter, the electromotive power of a synchronous phase modifier is secured by switching the motor side of the power converter to the power system. After the synchronous phase modifier is put into the power system, the voltage distortion of the power system can be reduced by directly driving the synchronous phase modifier from the power system side, thus easily starting the synchronous phase modifier and putting it into the power system. Furthermore, an improvement in the voltage distortion of the power system is made possible, and also the improvement can largely contribute to the downsizing of the motor drive system.
