Abstract:

To measure discharge responding time required from cutting fluid feeding starting time at a cutting fluid feeding part to cutting fluid discharging time at a cutting fluid discharge port in discharging a cutting fluid through the cutting fluid discharge port of a tool from the cutting fluid feeding part.

A head end circumference of the tool 3 is covered with a cylinder member 7 furnished with a cutting fluid passing port 9a, and mist discharged from the cutting fluid discharge port 3a of the tool 3 flows out of the cutting fluid passing port 9a while a main spindle rotates. A disc member 13 to be rotated by a motor 15 is arranged at a position opposed to the cutting fluid passing port 9a, the disc member 13 is rotated simultaneously in starting feeding the cutting fluid from a cutting fluid feeder 5, a distance between a position where the mist discharged from the cutting fluid discharge port 3a attached on paper 17 of an outer peripheral surface of the disc member 13 through the cutting fluid passing port 9a and a position of the paper 17 opposed to the cutting fluid passing port 9a before the disc member 13 is rotated is measured, and the discharge response time of the cutting fluid is computed in accordance with this a distance and a rotating speed (peripheral speed) of the disc member 13.
