The inner face of the peripheral portion of the lid member (30) is bonded to the upper inner face of a cylindrical body member (10). Further, the upper edge portion of the body member is folded inward so as to cover the peripheral portion of the lid member and is contact-bonded to the outer face of the peripheral portion of the lid member to form an annular wall (11), and a space portion (15) surrounded by the annular wall is provided above the lid member. In the cylindrical paper container having the space portion thus provided, a cap film (50) is joined to the upper peripheral portion of the body member so as to shield the space portion.
