To provide a data storage device, its method and a storage medium capable of surely preventing duplicate storage of data.
Whether or not prescribed information as registration information is registered in the data to be stored in the storage device 16 is discriminated by date information, title information and GPS information, etc., furthermore, when the prescribed information is registered, when the same piece of the date information exists in the stored data, when the same piece of the title information exists in the stored data or the same piece of the GPS information exists in the stored data, the stored data duplicated with the pieces of data is judged to exist and storage of the data is inhibited by issuing duplication information.
