To attain cost reduction by simplifying an ignition and control circuit of an inverter section in a DC-DC converter, and attain high efficiency by reducing the switching loss.
Two bridge circuits are formed out of first to fourth switching devices 1 to 4 and first to fourth flywheel diodes 7, 9, 6, 8, and are connected respectively with first and second transformers 12, 13 electromagnetically independent of each other. On the secondary side, first and second rectifying diodes 18, 19 are connected to each other, and a load resistor 21 is connected in parallel. The first and second switching devices 1, 2 are driven by current direction control signals having a half period of phase difference in the same and fixed interval, and the third and fourth switching devices 3, 4 are driven by power running signals synchronizing with the respective current direction control signals at leading edges, thus controlling the circuits by the power running signals generated with a simple saw tooth wave used as a carrier wave by an oscillator.
