Title:
DENITROGENATION METHOD FOR FIREBRICK CONTAINING COMPOUND-STATE NITROGEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3808307
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denitrogenation method for firebricks containing compound-state nitrogen and also a denitrogenation method in the steelmaking process not requiring introduction of new facilities and not requiring additional cost in the processing.
SOLUTION: This is a denitrogenation method for firebricks containing compound-state nitrogen by bringing a used firebrick containing compound-state nitrogen into contact with the slag for more than 10 hours under air-cooled condition, which slug is generated during steelmaking process, contains SiO2, MnO, P2O5, Cr2O3, TiO2, CaO, Al2O3, FeO, Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 generated during steelmaking process and has a converted oxygen amount contained in these oxides to be more than 30% of the slag weight.
