Title:
DETECTING STATE JUDGING DEVICE FOR LONGITUDINAL ACCELERATION SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3875391
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting state judging device for longitudinal acceleration sensor which can quickly detect an abnormality by accurately judging the detecting state of a longitudinal acceleration sensor even when a vehicle is in an inclined state on a slope.
SOLUTION: A vehicle is provided with a longitudinal acceleration sensor GS which detects the longitudinal deceleration (including acceleration) of the vehicle and a wheel speed sensor WS which detects the speed of each wheel WL and an estimated car body deceleration computing means ED computes the estimated car body deceleration of the vehicle based on the speed of each wheel detected by the sensor WS. Then, a rate-of-change deviation computing means DF computes the deviation between the rates of change of the estimated car body deceleration and the deceleration detected by the sensor GS. Thereafter, a detecting state judging means DT judges the detecting state of the sensor GS as normal when the deviation between the rates of change computed by the computing means DF falls within a prescribed range. When the deviation does not fall with the range, the judging means DT judges the detecting state of the sensor GS as abnormal.
