Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify a reel pulse generating means and to decrease a cost by detecting a reel pulse, which accompany the revolution of one tape driving reel and detecting the traveling position of a tape. CONSTITUTION:The reel pulse from a reel pulse generating means 1 is counted by a counting means 2 and the number of the reel pulses from a tape starting edge and a time length in the sectioning part of the respective sections, which divides the whole length of the tape is divided into the plural sections, are stored in advance to a storing means 3. Next, each time the reel pulse is generated, the number of the reel pulses from the tape starting edge to be counted by the counting means 2 and the number of the reel pulses, which correspond to the sectioning part to be stored in the storing means 3, are compared by a reel pulse comparing means 4. Then, based on a result, the sectioning part is detected by a sectioning part detecting means 5 and the result of the detection is inputted to a display element 9 as a tape position signal. Thus, the reel pulse generating means can be simplified and the cost can be reduced.
