PURPOSE: To enable the positioning for treating a gold ingot with a robot hand without damaging the high temp. gold ingot immediately after separating from a mold by laying the gold ingot on a laying table, shifting the gold ingot with an ingot shifting tool and positioning.
CONSTITUTION: In the laying tables 10, 11, a gap is arranged along the longitudinal direction between the tables. The ingot shifting tool 1 is projected upward through the gap of the laying tables 10, 11 and made to be shiftable to both ends of the laying tables 10, 11 along the gap. Tools 20, 21, 22, 23 used for both a guide and stopper are arranged at both ends of the laying tables 10, 11. In the tools 20, 21, 22, 23 used for both the guide and stopper, guide parts 12, 13, 14, 15 for guiding the gold ingot 5 shifting with the ingot shifting tool and stopper parts 16, 17, 18, 19 for positioning the gold ingot 5 are arranged. By this method, as two gold ingots can be positioned with one cylinder, the space of the positioning device can be reduced.
