This cooling/heating device of the vending machine is provided with: a first heat pump 30 having evaporators 4A and 4C for cooling installed in a first merchandise storage chamber 3A and a third merchandise storage chamber 3C respectively, a heat exchanger 31 installed in a second merchandise storage chamber 3B, and a condenser 10 and a compressor 9 installed outside the warehouse; and a second heat pump 15 for heating having a condenser 19 for heating installed in the first merchandise storage chamber 3A, and an evaporator 17 and a compressor 16 installed outside the warehouse respectively. The first heat pump 30 is provided with: a plurality of cooling medium channels 13a to 13i, 32a and 32b for changing the flowing direction of cooling media to the heat exchanger 31 of the second merchandise storage chamber 3B and opening/closing valves 14a to 14c and 33a to 33d as channel switching means.
