EXAMPLE: N-[(1,1dimethylethoxy)carbonyl]L-phenylalanyl-N[1S =(cyclohexylmethyl)-2S-hydroxy5[[2-aminoethyl]amino]5-oxo-4R-(phenylmethyl) pentyl]L-histidinamide.
USE: Remedy for hypertension, hyperaldosteronism, cardiac incompetence, congestive malum cordis, posterior cardiac infarction, cerebral angiopathy, glaucoma, and intracellular constancy disturbance.
PROCESS: A lactone represented by formula II is reacted with a diamine represented by formula III, and if necessary the protective group is removed.
