To provide a display device enabling a user to draw a line such as an underline on a display part.
The display device 1 comprises the display part 2 and a position detecting means 5 detecting the contact position of an optional indicator 7, and has: a plurality of usual display pixels for switchingly making a display with a first color and a display with a second color; and a plurality of line display pixels for making a display with a third color. The display part 2 has a usual display part in which the plurality of usual display pixels are arranged in matrix shape; and a line display part in which a plurality of pixel arrays each with the plurality of line display pixels arranged in one direction are arranged at predetermined spaces. The line display with the third color is made by the line display part in a position corresponding to the contact position detected by the position detecting means 5.
