Abstract:
To provide a display device capable of, by using a two-dimensional image, displaying an image with which an observer can obtain feeling of high perceptual depth or three-dimensional feeling.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a light transmitting layer having an observed surface and a convex surface facing each other; and a display area where a plurality of display elements displaying toward the observed surface are arranged along the convex surface. A refractive index of the light transmitting layer is higher than a refractive index of the atmosphere. In the display device, a refractive index of the light transmitting layer is higher than a refractive index of the atmosphere, the observed surface is a plane which crosses the convex surface at three points, or, a distance between a foot N of a perpendicular line drawn from one point M on the convex surface on the plane and an intersection point P of the perpendicular line and the observed surface is the largest when the one point M is located at the outermost convex part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
