The duct precipitator includes a charge unit 1 composed to charge particles in air stream to be cleaned, and a collection unit 2 composed to collect the charged particles. The collection unit includes first electrode plates 21 of a first group, serving as voltage electrodes, and a second electrode plates 22 of a second group, serving as collection electrodes. Width w of the electrode plates 21, 22 in the flow direction F is shorter than the length I of the electrode plates 21, 22 in the direction vertical to the flow direction. The surface direction of the electrode plates 21, 22 is changed to the flow direction to support the electrode plates 21, 22.
