Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable adjusting of the delivery quantity of hot water by arranging a suction port at the center part of a pump case of a centrifugal pump type liquid pump connected to a water guide port of an inner container and a discharge port on the outer circumference part in the direction of rotation to switch the direction of the rotation of the liquid pump.
SOLUTION: During the use of an electric kettle, a liquid housed in a container 1 is heated by a heating body 3 while being controlled to a specified temperature by a temperature detector. Hot water in the container 1 is set out to a discharge port 11 via a suction port 10 from a water guide port 1A and delivered to a hot water delivery port 12. An impeller 13 has normally about 40-50mL/S delivery quantity when rotated in the direction of delivery along the direction of the rotation of the liquid pump 8. The impeller also has about 15-25mL/S delivery quantity of hot water when rotated in the direction opposite to the rotation in the direction of delivery by a changeover switch of a control circuit. Thus, the delivery quantity of hot water is adjusted by switching the direction of rotation. The range of adjusting the delivery quantity of hot water is further expanded by changing the voltage according to the normal rotation and opposite rotation of the impeller.
