Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor for a completely hermetic compressor that has a structure where a free conductor is securely and fixedly insulated with an insulating material chemically stable and excellent in insulating performance, in an electric motor for a completely hermetic compressor using HFC-134a or the like as a refrigerant and using polyalkylene glycol oil, polyol ester oil or polyvinyl ether oil as refrigerator oil.
SOLUTION: A plurality of free conductors are fixedly insulated from one another with an epoxy resin, preferably a powder epoxy resin. This is effective especially in insulating coil ends in the electric motor for a hermetic compressor comprising a stator having a structure where a coil wound about a core of the stator is made of a plurality of conductor segments, and ends of the conductor segments (coil ends) projecting from the core are joined together to form the coil.
