Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress the deformation of a body to be electrified and to eliminate the vibration by the deformation as well as to prevent the electrifying sounds produced therefrom by specifying the relations between the sp. gr. of the body to be electrified and the frequency of a vibrating voltage.
CONSTITUTION: The electrifying device which has an electrifying member in contact with the body to be electrified electrifies the body to be electrified by impressing the vibrating voltage between the body to be electrified and the electrifying member has the relations of equation I between the sp. gr. ρ (weight (g) of the effective electrifying region/sectional area (cm2) × length (cm) of the effective electrifying region) and the frequency f(Hz) of the vibrating voltage. The most effective method of suppressing the sounds generated from rotating bodies which vibrate is to prevent the vibration of the rotating boy having a vibration transmission route to other members rather than to prevent the vibration of the rotating body vibrating most among the vibrating bodies. The factor to determine the magnitude of the electrifying sounds is the electrifying frequency at which the good electrifying characteristic is obtainable. The relations of the equation I are empirically found from the results of these studies.
