Abstract:
To clean a discharge wire of an electrifier without damaging the wire as much as possible, while reducing manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: An electrode cleaning device cleans a discharge wire 221 of an electrifier 22, and comprises moving means that reciprocates a cleaning head 61 holding a cleaning pad that is in contact with a discharge electrode to clean the discharge electrode along the discharge wire 221. The moving means includes a first moving mechanism that manually moves the cleaning head 61 on a forward path, and a second moving mechanism that accumulates displacement of the cleaning head on the forward path as position energy in an energy accumulation mechanism 64, and moves the cleaning head 61 on a return path using the accumulated position energy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
