Title:
ELECTROMAGNET FOR MAGNETIC RESONANCE PICTURE DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08224219
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a highly uniform magnetic field with a vibration-proof and temperature change-proof magnet by selecting the size and the placement of relatively in order to compensate instability of a magnetic field caused by shim ring vibration or temperature change. SOLUTION: The electromagnet has a ring-shaped structure, and is symmetrical with respect to the major axis 1. Slope coil 11 is provided inside the inner hole 12 of a ring-shaped vessel 3. Cold iron shim rings 13a and 13b are provided along turned wires 5a and 5b. Iron shim rings 14, 15 and 16 are supplied as warm iron and arranged next to the slope coil 11 which is inside the inner hole 12 to compensate themselves substantially. A pair of shim rings 14 and 16 are placed in the center symmetrical with respect to shim ring 15, which compensates by arising the opposite directed instability which has the same size as that of another shim ring when one shim ring becomes unstable because of temperature-change or vibration.
