Abstract:

PURPOSE: To absorb the electromagnetic waves are formed by tightly joining alternately the corrugated ultra-thin plates and the flat ultra-thin plates having the electric resistance for their anangement.

CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic wave absorption element is formed by tightly joining a corrugated ultra-thin plate 1 and a flat ultra-thin plate 2 alter nately. When an electromagnetic wave 3 is here radiated from the upside, it is subdivided into a lot of waveguides 4 and generates the electric current at many wall surfaces by their incidence. At this time, the transmission lines 4 are the closed ones, so an incident electromagnetic wave lowers the field strength by the damping factor of exponential function. Accordingly, the electro magnetic wave is absorbed. And, when the magnitude of electric resistance is 0.1∼1.000ω/mm2 of the surface intrinsic resistance, the electric current generateseffectively, and the space of a wave form, in other words, the pitch has its maximum effect in the range of 1∼100mm. Under the conditions, the electromagnetic wave is rapidly attenuated exponentially.
