Abstract:
To provide an electromagnetic wave filter capable of stabilizing filtering performance when an electromagnetic wave oscillating in a specific direction is incident in various oscillation directions.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave filter 1 is configured by adjacently arranging a plurality of split ring resonators 3 on a substrate 2. The split ring resonator 3 is constituted of: a ring-shaped first split ring 4 in which a first cut portion 41 is formed; and a ring-shaped second split ring 5 having an outer circumference smaller than that of the first split ring 4, arranged coaxially inside on the same plane, in which a second cut portion 51 is formed at the opposite position of the first cut portion 41. Each of the split ring resonators 3 is arranged so that an opening position of the first cut portion 41 is directed in one of three or more directions obtained by equally dividing a central angle of 360 degrees by a predetermined angular interval, and each direction is arranged to be represented with a frequency that obtains an isotropic character to an oscillation direction of an incident electromagnetic wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
