PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of fogging on white backgrounds under an environment of high temperature and high humidity by incorporating a specified electric charge generating material together with a charge transfer material specified in oxidation potential in a charge generating layer and a charge transfer material specified in oxidation potential in a charge transfer layer.

CONSTITUTION: The charge generating layer 2 containing the charge generating material, such as titanium-phthalocyanine 4 and the charge transfer layer 3 are laminated on a conductive substrate 1 in this order. The charge transfer material 5 having an oxidation potential of <0.7V is incorporated in the charge generating layer 2 and the charge transfer material 6 having that of ≥0.7V is incorporated in the charge transfer layer 3.
