CONSTITUTION: In an elevator installation method in which a car of an elevator is assembled integrally in advance out of hoistway and the assembled car unit 1 is carried in from above a machine room 11 for installation, one end of a wire 7 which is installed between the car and a control panel in the machine room 11 is fixed on a frame of the car in the region from above the car to below the car out of the hoistway in advance, and the car unit 1 is carried into the hoistway in the condition in which the region from below the car to the other end of the wire 7 is put in the car temporarily.
