PURPOSE: To provide an energization device for a clad electric wire, which enables safe and reliable energization of a clad electric wire through a series of continuous operations without removing a cladding of the clad electric wire.
CONSTITUTION: Both end portions (m, m) of a magnet wire M are inserted through insertion holes 3a, 3b of a pair of clad electric wire pressing reception members 3, 3 so as to effect positioning thereof. Electrodes 12, 12 are moved down in accordance with the driving of a pressurizing cylinder 6 to thereby apply a predetermined pressing force to the ends (m, m) of the positioned magnet wire M, after which energization is done. Energization of the clad electric wire is reliably effected through a series of continuous operations applying a predetermined pressing force and energizing the electric wire, without removing a cladding thereof. This device is useful for energization-heat forming of a coil during manufacture thereof, a pressure proof test or continuity test for a coil, various clad electric wires, and the like, etc.
