Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine capable of properly performing exhaust recirculation processing by a hydraulic type variable valve opening/closing mechanism and properly starting.SOLUTION: A valve opening/closing mechanism for opening and closing a first exhaust valve 23 and a second exhaust valve 24 by action of a rotating cam 51, has a hydraulic variable valve opening/closing mechanism 40 capable of controlling an opening/closing timing and an opening/closing amount of the first exhaust valve 23 by adjusting a fluid pressure of a liquid medium, and a direct acting-type valve opening/closing mechanism 50 constituted to open and close the second exhaust valve 24 by reciprocation of a link member 52. The exhaust recirculation processing is performed by setting a valve opening timing of the first exhaust valve 23 during an intake stroke, and a valve diameter of the first exhaust valve 23 is larger than a valve diameter of the second exhaust valve 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
