Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferritic spheroidal graphite cast iron which has heat resistance higher than that of the conventional one, and is produced inexpensively, by a simple method.
SOLUTION: The ferritic spheroidal graphite cast iron has a composition containing, by weight, 3.1 to 4.0% C, 3.6 to 4.6% Si, 0.3 to 1.0% Mo, 0.1 to 1.0% V, 0.15 to 1.6% Mn and 0.02 to 0.10% Mg, and in which the total content of V and Mn is 0.3 to 2.0%. The exhaust parts use the spheroidal graphite cast iron.
