Abstract:

To provide a fluid bearing motor and its manufacturing method capable of plating with nickel with high accuracy in a short while, capable of improving degrees of same axle and right angle with respect to a bearing and also capable of resisting influences of changes in temperature.

As shown in figure (a), a ring-shaped back yoke 7 is inserted into an inside of a motor hub 6. With improving surface hardness of a sleeve 3 by plating with nickel to cover at least inner circumference plane of the sleeve 3 and the back yoke 7 inserted inside of the hub 6, the back yoke 7 is mounted on the hub 6. As shown in figure (b), the thickness d1 of nickel plating 13a is determined not less than 0.4 μm and not more than 2.5 μm.
