PURPOSE: To prevent an unpleasant torque shock without impairing the fuel supply responsibility by setting up a basic injection quantity according to the latest data, and then setting up a target air-fuel ratio according to the weighted averages of the intake air capacity.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a means 1 for detecting the intake air capacity of an engine, a means 2 for storing the detected intake air capacity, and a means 3 for determining a basic injection quantity of fuel to be supplied to an engine according to the output received from the detecting means 1. In addition, there are provided both a means 4 for determining a pseudo intake- air capacity according to the present intake-air capacity and the stored intake- air capacity and a means 5 for determining the target air-fuel ratio of a mixture to be supplied to the engine according to the above pseudo intake-air capacity. And further, there is provided a means 6 for determining a final injection quantity according to the basic fuel injection quantity and a target air-fuel ratio. Thereby, the basic fuel injection quantity is set up according to the latest data, and also, the target air-fuel ratio is set up according to the weighted averages of the intake air capacity.
