Title:
FUEL POLE OF SOLID ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02239568
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To restrict deterioration of cell characteristics by stay of produced steam by adding ceramic fibers to powders of nickel or nickel alloy.

CONSTITUTION: A solid electrolyte layer 1 is composed of fine pellets to which gas is impermeable formed by baking zirconia stabilized by ytria. Paste of mixture of perovskite type oxide such as La0, 9, Sr0, 1 MnO3 powders, for example, with turpentine oil is applied to one side of this electrolyte layer 1 and baked to form an oxidizer pole 2. Nickel grains of an average grain size of 2-5μm are then mixed with ZrO2 fibers of a fiber length of 15μm and a fiber diameter of 2-3μm at a weight ratio of 4:1, and paste of this mixture mixed with turpentine oil is applied to the other side of the electrolyte layer 1 and heat processed to form a fuel pole 3. This fuel pole 3 is assembled in a unit cell and baked to the electrolyte layer in predetermined conditions.
