Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the jig by which the whole periphery of a glass panel can be subjected to pressing and clamping with a uniform pressure and the initial pressure of suction evacuation can easily be set and the maintenance of which can easily be performed.
SOLUTION: This jig comprises an assembly frame F consisting of mounting members 5 and 5A placed on the inner sides of a pair of support legs 2 and 2A respectively and a clamping suction pad 6 and a pressing suction pad 7, both of which are placed correspondingly to each of the mounting members 5 and 5A, a panel support member G consisting of a holding plate 14 in which an inner suction through-hole 12 and an outer suction through-hole 13 are vertically bored at positions corresponding to those of the pressing and clamping suction pads 7 and 6 respectively, and a clamping member P consisting of a picture-frame-shaped frame plate 18 and an outer annular packing 19 and an inner annular packing 20, both of which are placed on the underside of the frame plate 18.
