Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture a photographic silver halide emulsion having a low photographic fog, high sensitivity, and an improved safelight fogging property.
CONSTITUTION: Soluble silver salt and a soluble halide salt solution are concurrently mixed into a hydrophilic colloidal solution containing silver halide seed grains and prepared in advance to obtain a silver halide photographic emulsion. A compound expressed by the formula is contained in the hydrophilic colloidal solution under the condition to satisfy the relation 0.005 ≤(weight (g) of the formula against silver of 1mol)/(pAg at grain growth)<0.015, and the silver halide grains are preferably made of mono-disperse twin crystal grains, where A, B indicate the hydrogen atom or substituent, (p) is an integer of 15-25, and (m), (n) are integers satisfying the relation (m+n)/p=0.24-0.45.
