Abstract:
To provide a gas-blast circuit breaker capable of assuring to supply safely gas even if lightning current flows into gas piping networks.
The gas-blast circuit breaker is equipped with a lighting strike detecting means 13 detecting lightning current or electric variations induced by the aforementioned lightning current generated in the gas piping networks 2 and 3 communicated with a cutoff valve 11 due to lightning strikes to output the lightning strike detected signals, and a shutoff controlling means 12 making the cutoff valve 11 to operate breaking action based on the lighting strike detected signals.
