Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf trajectory simulation device making it possible to find an accurate trajectory and carry.
SOLUTION: The golf trajectory simulation device includes a trigger sensor 20 for detecting that a golf ball has been struck; a CCD camera 22 for picking up images of the golf ball after it is struck; a PC 24 storing a variety of data including aerodynamic coefficient data under certain conditions and calculating the trajectory and carry of the golf ball using data about the speed etc., of the golf ball obtained from the image data picked up by the CCD camera 22, as well as using the variety of data including the aerodynamic coefficient data; and a monitor 25 for displaying the trajectory and carry of the golf ball based on the calculations made by the PC 24. The aerodynamic coefficient is used which is measured with a golf ball rotating device which causes a piano wire passed through the golf ball to be rotated directly by a motor.
