Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a hair cosmetic, excellent in conditioning effects such as moistness and softness without any stickiness and oiliness and capable of imparting resilience to the hair and improved in preventing effects on damage to the hair.
CONSTITUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (A) preferably 0.5-10.0wt.% one or two or more selected from 12-40C fatty acids having a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group or alkenyl group (preferably 18-25C) or their salts and fatty acid esters composed of the fatty acids and polyhydric alcohols, (B) preferably 1-30wt.% aromatic alcohol of the formula [R1 is H, methyl or methoxy; Y is single bond, 1-3C straight chain or branched chain alkylene or alkenylene; Z is H or OH; p and q are 0-5], preferably 2-benzyloxyethanol and (C) preferably 0.2-10.0wt.% cationic surfactant, e.g. a quaternary ammonium salt.
