To easily identify the species of a rice planthopper.SOLUTION: According to a method for identifying a rice planthopper, a primer set designed to amplify at least a part of ITS2 (Internal Transcribed Spacer 2) region in rDNA of a rice planthopper is used to subject a sample possibly including rice planthopper-derived DNA to a multiplex PCR, to analyze the electrophoretic pattern of an amplification product.SELECTED DRAWING: None
