To prevent cotton ice and muddy ice from arising during ice making operation, by forming a nonflow part, where ice making water not flowing with agitation collects, in the vicinity of an ice making projection, in an object which creates ice blocks around the ice making projections while agitating the ice making water, with its ice making projections soaked in the ice making water.
An ice machine 11 which makes many ice blocks 10 is composed of an ice making frame 12 arranged horizontally, a takeout member 30 arranged tiltably over it, and an ice making plate 14 having many ice making projections 16 projected at specified intervals lengthwise and crosswise. Moreover, a cloudiness preventer 28, which has an agitation plate 28a for preventing the ice blocks 10 from becoming cloudy by moving ice making water, is arranged in an ice making mechanism 11. In this case, a recess 50 as a nonflow part is partitioned off in the space between a through hole 12a and the ice making projection 16. Then, an ice nucleus is made by easily freezing the ice making water collected in the recess 50 not subjected to the influence of agitation of the cloudiness preventer 28, thus the occurrence of cotton ice or muddy ice caused by overcooling of the ice making water is prevented.
