Abstract:
To provide an image forming device that can effectively save running costs and a method for inspecting an image forming device.SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises: a conveying part that conveys a recording medium; an image forming part that forms an image by applying ink that is cured by ultraviolet to the recording medium conveyed by the conveying part; an ultraviolet irradiating part that irradiates ink on the recording medium conveyed by the conveying part with ultraviolet to cure the ink; and a control part. The conveying part is arranged to be able to convey an ultraviolet sensitive member whose surface densities vary depending on light volumes of the irradiated ultraviolet. The control part executes first control by which ultraviolet is irradiated by the ultraviolet irradiating part without application of ink to the ultraviolet sensitive member by the image forming part, when the conveying part conveys the ultraviolet sensitive member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
