To provide an image forming method by which high gloss and high image quality can be maintained for a long period of time.
The image forming method includes an electrostatic latent image forming process, a developing process, a transfer process, a fixing process and a cleaning process. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has, on a surface layer, a siloxane-based resin having charge transfer characteristic and a crosslinking structure, and the electrophotographic developer contains an electrostatic charge image developing toner containing a binder resin and colorant. The electrostatic charge image developing toner has a ratio G'G2/G'1 ranging from 2.5 to 4.5, the ratio G'G2/G'1 being a ratio of storage modulus G'1 determined in the case of a measuring frequency 6.28 rad/s at 50°C and storage modulus G'2 (Pa s) in the case of 6.28 rad/s.
