Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately separate a polarization component if an imaging posture varies and enable imaging of an image of an appropriately separated polarization component.SOLUTION: A gyro sensor 53 detects an inclination around the optical axis of incident light. A control unit 54a of a signal processing unit 54 controls to drive a TN liquid crystal layer 71 in a manner to transmit light with a twisted polarization axis of light according to the inclination detected by the gyro sensor 53. An imaging device 52 detects light having an extracted polarization component transmitting through GH liquid crystal layers 72, 73. The present technique is applicable to a camera.
